Prepare an essay on what the martial arts means to you. You will hand Sensei the essay before the test begins. During your test, you will discuss your essay to the class.

*This is all to be performed one after another at the start of your test, after which, you will perform all academy basics, katas, self-defense moves, and then you will spar the entire attending academy.
