We love our kids!

For our younger academy members,
we have a class just for them... our Kid's class
that meets every Tuesday & Thursday from 6:00-6:45pm.

Frequently, I hear parents say
what they like about Red Sun Academy
is that their children really learn
and don't just play games.

Here at Red Sun Academy,
we not only teach martial arts,
but also mind-body coordination,
courtesy, respect, and how to gain confidence.

Children are not unintelligent.
Confidence is gained by actually EARNING goals.
We give children every tool to reach their goals,
guiding them along the way.

We do not simply hand out belts
and play games in class.
Children EARN their belts,
and in the long run,
this is a much better way.

Children this age need not be trained
to be "little killers."

While we teach them skills designed for their age
(not to get in cars with strangers,
what to do if an adult grabs them,
how to handle a bully, etc),
we recognize the needs for their age group
and teach accordingly.

While they learn the requirements for each belt
just like any adult student in the academy would,
we take it at a pace fitting for their age.

We also teach life skills such as
not interrupting others,
not fighting with siblings,
finishing homework and household chores.
Martial arts is not just learning the physical,
but also a way to live in a positive approach.
We teach this to our children.
