THE SIT-UP TEST

This test measures abdominal strength
and endurance.

The student is tested for the maximum
number of sit-ups performed in one minute.

Student lies on floor
with feet about 12 inches from buttocks.
Partner holds feet.
Arms are crossed
with hands placed on opposite shoulders.
Elbows are held to chest.

Keeping this arm position,
student rises, touching elbows to thighs.
Student lowers so that shoulder blades touch the floor.

Count only sit-ups with correct form.
