THE PUSH-UP TEST
This test measures upper body strength
and endurance.The student is tested by seeing
the maximum number of push-ups completed.Student lies face down on the floor
with hands under shoulders,
legs and fingers straight and parallel,
feet slightly apart.When student lowers to do a push-up,
there is a 90-degree angle at the elbow;
the upper arms are parallel to the floor.Partner hold their hands (palms up)
where testing student's elbows are 90 degrees.
Student lowers until shoulders touch
partners hands.One complete push-up every 3 seconds.
(can be done to a metronome).Continued until the student can do no more in rhythm.
Record only push-ups performed with proper form.
