THE PUSH-UP TEST

This test measures upper body strength
and endurance.

The student is tested by seeing
the maximum number of push-ups completed.

Student lies face down on the floor
with hands under shoulders,
legs and fingers straight and parallel,
feet slightly apart.

When student lowers to do a push-up,
there is a 90-degree angle at the elbow;
the upper arms are parallel to the floor.

Partner hold their hands (palms up)
where testing student's elbows are 90 degrees.
Student lowers until shoulders touch
partners hands.

One complete push-up every 3 seconds.
(can be done to a metronome).

Continued until the student can do no more in rhythm.

Record only push-ups performed with proper form.
