REQUIREMENTS FOR
HIGH BELT RANKS


Red Sun students aged 5-8 years old,
will advance from solid rank to high rank.
For example, a white belt's next rank
will be high white belt, in which case
he will wear a white belt with a black stripe
throught the belt.
All 5-8 year old students
test for high rank (belt with black stripe)
before the solid ranks (solid belt color, no stripe).

This is separate and apart from HIGH BROWN BELT,
which has its own requirements.

1. .Only 1 Kata of their Belt Rank. (New Age kata)

2. .Only 1 Self-Defense of their Belt Rank

3. .All Previous Katas & Self-Defense moves

4. .Half Attendance Requirements

WHITE BELTS testing for HIGH WHITE:
1 white belt kata
1 self-defense move (1st white belt self-defense)
15 classes (or more)


HIGH WHITE BELTS testing for YELLOW BELT:
2 white belt katas (white belt traditional kata, white belt New Age kata)
3 self-defense moves (all 3 white belt self-defense)
15 classes (15 classes as a white belt, 15 classes as a high white)


YELLOW BELTS testing for HIGH YELLOW:
1 yellow belt kata (plus 2 white belt katas)
1 yellow belt self-defense move (plus all 3 white belt self-defense)
15 classes since last test (or more)


HIGH YELLOW BELTS testing for ORANGE BELT:
2 yellow belt katas (plus 2 white belt katas)
3 yellow belt self-defense moves (plus all 3 white belt self-defense)
15 classes since last test (or more)


ORANGE BELTS testing for HIGH ORANGE:
1 orange belt kata (plus all previous katas)
1 orange belt self-defense move (plus all previous self-defense)
30 classes since last test (or more)


HIGH ORANGE BELTS testing for GREEN BELT:
2 orange belt katas (plus all previous katas)
3 orange belt self-defense moves (plus all previous self-defense)
30 classes since last test (or more)		 PATCHES
Your Red Sun patch must be on your uniform while you are testing.

TESTING FEES
Don't forget to get your $25 testing fees in BEFORE your test begins.
Testing fees covers your new belt and certificate (should you pass)
and a detailed testing evaluation report (if you pass or not).
You'll need to get the testing fees in before the test begins.
In the event that you do not pass, you will test again in certain areas, usually in the next several days. .The retest is free.

PARTNER
Please have a self-defense partner
who is roughly your size (or larger) and rank (or higher)
with you for your test.

TESTING ETIQUETTE
Arrive to the test ON TIME and in a clean all-white uniform.
It must be quiet before the test begins.
