DAY AT THE LAKE
Sunday afternoons during the summer
9am until late afternoon .(4pm-ish)

Summer time is the BEST!
Summer time is the BEST!
And no need to drive all the way to the ocean.
Save gas and still enjoy the water and beautiful views.
Pack a cooler, beach towel, suntan lotion,
perhaps a good book, snacks, and let's hit the lake.
We'll all be sitting in the shade under a huge oak tree.

TIME
Meet at Amy’s house in North Raleigh (directions below)
at 9am. .From there, we will determine car pooling.
If you’re arrive late, we probably will have left.
We should be returning in the afternoon (4pm-ish?),
to be determined by drivers.
Some may want to stay later, some may want
to leaver earlier and have to be back by a certain time.
If you’re a passenger, get with a driver
who will leave about the time you prefer.

KERR LAKE
We will be going to Kerr Lake
at an uncrowded state park
which is an hour’s drive from my house.
The swimming area is absolutely beautiful
with grassy areas, large trees, and sand.
I will have very good directions
on how to get to this park
to give to you Sunday morning.

COST
The park charges $6 to park your car.
So we’ll meet at my house and drive together.
Everyone pitches in for gas except the drivers.
Riders should also pay for the park entrance fee.

EAT
Bring a picnic lunch.
Sharing is nice, but optional.

RAIN
Canceled if rain.
